Newlands has a fine history as a club who has produced numerous great golfers, most notably ex-junior member Peter Lawrie who has had great success including a fine victory on the European Tour - now The DP World Tour.
At present, we strive to open up this great game to the next generation. By doing so the Junior Coaching Program comes via 2 main streams:
Through our Newlands GC Club Membership whereby paid up junior members receive subsidised coaching as part of the club program & their Junior Club Membership. This is carried out throughout the season and junior members parents are informed by the Junior Committee accordingly.
Additionally, we are now running our own NJA Junior Clinics through The Brian Cosgrove Golf Academy - these come in a variety of formats over the school year in 4-6 week block programs & during school holidays in the form of Junior Camps.
