Brian Cosgrove

P.G.A. Head Professional

After taking up the game on the windswept Carne Golf Links in North Mayo, Brian quickly got to grasp playing the punch shot, the stinger & the bump ‘n’ run.

Before moving into the professional ranks he completed a 4 year BSc in Sport & Exercise in University Limerick. This served him very well when later applying his PGA training. Starting off in Milltown GC in a strong traditional club in the heart of Dublin, Brian moved to Rathsallagh to develop his coaching skills in 2005. In 2009 he set-up his own academy based in Athy, while servicing clubs in the four provinces. In 2011 he took over the role as PGA Professional in Killeen enjoying 7 great years and many success stories including 5 blue pennants (including the first in the clubs history). In 2019 Brian was delighted to be appointed Club Professional at Newlands Golf Club and continues to build the business and relationships in a club steeped in over 110 years of golfing history.

    Is a qualified pga professional who facilitates in custom fitting, repairs, lessons

    & proshop operations. He comes with a wealth of experience across the industry & plays to a

    high standard on the pga in ireland region with multiple wins under his belt in recent years.

  • Ross O'Reilly

    Proshop Manager

    Manages the proshop on a day-to-day basis. One of the leading players in the club

    ross has a welcoming persona to everyone who walks through the door. He fits his work & golf in

    between playing hurling at a high standard within the dublin senior hurling ranks.

  • Oscar Mahony

    Proshop Assistant

    Junior Captain 2023 & Helps out in the Pro shop on a pa t time basis
